Sufism, the mystical path of Islam, emphasizes to find the truth of divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience of God Almighty by an intensive inward journey to soul. Sufi mystics follow variety of mystical paths that are designed to ascertain the perfected humanity by purifying the Nafs or human soul to experience the presence of divine love and wisdom in the world. Qaderiyya Maizbhandari Tariqa of Bangladesh is one of the such Sufi paths and its incumbent Pir, the Sufi spiritual leader, Syed Emdadul Hoque Maizbhandari has been leading spiritual activities and Sufi teaching since 1974. He founded Darul Irfan Research Institute (DIRI) as a transformative space wherein theoretical teaching of Sufism will be transmitted and spiritual development will be intensified to attain the perfected humanity.
